Are you weighing yourself? Is that really helping you look/feel/perform better, or is it making you crazy? Too much weight loss, not enough weight loss, no weight loss, WEIGHT GAIN!?!?!?!!?!
If weighing yourself isn’t making you look/feel/perform better, than why do it?

Perfect timing on this post. I’m not cutting much weight and was freaking out a bit. But I feel good and both my snatch and clean have improved. Gonna stop checking the scale! As a first paleo challenger, I’m not seeing drastic results, but it’s a good start and I’m learning a lot. Now off to watch yesterday’s meeting video. 90 min of Brian’s noggin. good times.

Very cool way to look at it. Thanks.

What I don’t lose in weight, I gain in strength.
No scale for me at the end, but I really don’t feel like a number is going to define my success during the challenge. At first, my goal was: time to get lean and fit and can lose lots of weight in five weeks. But the reality is my body isn’t built to do that, and now my focus is very simple: stay committed and finish something I started. This might be the first New Year’s Resolution I actually fulfill.

*No scale for me UNTIL the end (opps!)

I have not weighed myself since the start of the challenge either, but I agree with others that i have not noticed much if any difference in my body composition. My tummy is still there and my clothes aren’t fitting any differently than before.
Perhaps this is my body’s happy weight/size?

anyone have any recommendations on where to pick up some grass fed jerkey? or at least jerkey that doesn’t use sugar? I ordered some from http://www.americangrassfedbeef.com and it was really good, but pricey and I don’t want to wait a week.

Is Kombucha ok? It’s tea and ginger. I love it. Also, there’s traces of alcohol in it due to the fermenting…but it’s all organic and mighty tasty.

@Niki – I asked Brian the same question. He took my man-card but said it was ok. I think there’s 7g of carbs per bottle, so just be careful not to drink too many.

sorry, I should have said “the one’s sold at Whole Foods have 7g of carbs per bottle.” I’m sure there are other types. Just check the bottle.

@BC-Thanks! I drank the gingerade flavor one-7g of carbs. Very tasty. Ingredients: kombucha and ginger. Nice alternative to water, lemon water, lime water, mint water. Little pricey, but worth it.
Also, sugar-free jerky is hard to find. I’ve looked at WF and TJ’s and online seems to be the best resource. Hopefully someone can help you out. You can make your own, too.
15 days left to go….

@Brian, or anybody else: I’ve been running out of gas after lunch for the last week. I’ve been super strict about the diet and sleep, and it just started this week. Any thoughts?
