You can check out the playback of last nights Stay on Track meeting here.

If you have any ideas on how we can improve the Audio/Video of the meeting, we’d be happy to try them out.

Right when I got back from the meeting, turned on the TV and saw a commercial for…. corn sugar. Couldn’t believe it. http://www.cornsugar.com/

Brian, if I’ll be doing a metcon of more than 20 minutes, should I eat some starch? I just flat out bonked on Murph, and I was tired for a couple of days after. (The hyperventilating was a little scary, too.) I havent had any issues with the shorter metcons, so I just didnt think about it last Saturday.
Everyone else, what are you making for America’s greatest day of gluttony, the Super Bowl?

    @ Simon: ewwwwwwww

I keep thinking I’m going to be able to actually show up to a meeting, but until then, it’d be good to have a better idea of what people are asking/talking about in the meeting.

This is the So Delicious Coconut Milk I mentioned online last night that I’ve found at Whole Foods (have also seen it at HT, but a bit harder to find). Unsweetened has 0g Sugar, Original has 6g Sugar and Vanilla has 7g of Sugar: http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/products/product.php?p=so_delicious_beverage_hg_unsweetened

I agree, is there a way to mic the room, it would be make the meeting more beneficial for those streaming.

Agree with the room questions. A simple remedy would be to repeat the questions asked. It can make the meetings longer, but I guarantee it benefits both those present and those on the livestream.

Thanks for posting the videos! The past 2 days I’ve noticed a significant increase in my energy levels during WODs, especially mental energy. The past 2 I’ve been able to tell myself to push harder for 1-2 more reps or to not break-up a movement and my body has responded, as opposed to the “cloudy head” feeling I generally have had in the past. Hoping this continues.

@Brian – Could you talk more, either here or at one of the meetings or at the wrap-up, about Dairy and how it does/doesn’t fit in to the Paleo diet. Sometimes it seems like it is acceptable, sometimes not. I’ve never been able to get a clear picture of the pros and cons of dairy in a paleo diet, just people saying do or do not eat it.

  9. Niki

@BrianPCF, can you re-post the first 3 WODS from the challenge? Thanks!

  10. Louis

    @Niki
    The WODs are:

    WOD 1
    AMRAP 1 Min Pullups*
    AMRAP 1 Min Pushups*
    AMRAP 1 Min Situps
    AMRAP 1 Min Squats
*If you scale to either ring rows or pushups, you’ll be given a factor of .8 on your score.

    WOD 2
You have 10 minutes to work up to a 1RM Clean (Power or Squat)

    WOD 3
    AMRAP 6 Minutes:
    5 Burpees
    10 KB Swing, 55/35*
    15 Push Press, 45/35*
*These are prescribed weights, but you can scale. If you use these weights, your score is multiplied by 1.0, if you scale the weight, your score will be multiplied by: Your Weight/Prescribed Weight

I can’t remember what coconut milks were recommended in the live stream, does anyone know the names and locations where to buy?

Also, after decompressing from yesterday’s WOD which took me an inappropriate amount of time. I realized that my mental concentration during WODs has improved.

Instead of feeling like I’m struggling and all over the place pre-challenge, During yesterday’s WOD I still felt like I was struggling but I was very aware of my effort was and felt pretty in control mentally but there was just no strength to go with the effort. It felt kinda like slowly pushing down the gas pedal instead of slamming down….while in neutral,

@Simon – Well “Sugar is Sugar” didn’t you know that! ;)

@Nate here’s a good place to start on dairy:
    http://www.marksdailyapple.com/dairy-intolerance/

Bottom line is that some people tolerate it better than others, but everyone we’ve worked with gets leaner/stays leaner when they avoid it. Post-challenge, you’ve got to balance that fact with your personal goals.

  15. Brian PCF

@Hassan – looks good to me.

  16. Niki

@Louis-Thank you for the WODs. Also, I stumbled upon your blog. Very inspirational (and entertaining).
