Last weekend of the Paleo Challenge! How do you feel right now? Are you planning on a Post-Challenge Blow Out with Ho-Ho’s dipped in soy sauce with a side of skim milk or will you be sticking with the Paleo Lifestyle?

Sticking with it….I know what happens when I don’t!!! I still have a LONG way to go…but taking 1 1/2 week off of no cocktails…then back on strict! (Those ho-ho’s look soooooooo good though!)

I’m going to have a beer and cupcake-filled night and then get right back at it.
Because I’ve lost 20lbs.

I have a Whatchamacallit bar in the pantry with my name on it, and may chase it with glass of milk and a bunch of oreo cookies next Saturday! Most likely I will just go down to Hank’s in Old Town and get a slice of key lime pie after slurping down oysters and bubbly on my paleo-challenge celebration day.

I have a pint of celebratory coconut milk ice cream that’s been sitting in the freezer for the last day. Outside of that I don’t have any plans to deviate from the diet. Though, I would be curious to try a full day with my old eating habits to see how it makes me feel. During the course of the challenge I have noticed that my stomach has become quite sensitive and I’ve really felt the effect of non-paleo foods whenever I’ve had hem. I bought some meatballs last week that said all natural on the front so I didn’t bother to check the ingredients. After eating 3 I could feel my stomach reacting funny and checked the ingredients. Low and behold the meatballs had grains in them so I stopped. I was really surprised to feel such a negative reaction out of my body for such a small amount of grain.

I’m sticking with it, not with this level of strictness,but sticking with it.

I feel great!! But Im craving beer, cheese and cake!! I will stick with it but lean towards a 90/10 diet schedule. Ive had huge changes in my body and cant wait for the final workouts to see my progress!!

I am ordering 4 chocolate chip cookies from OOTB, and eating one with a Port City Porter, and whatever I eat for dinner that night will be accompanied by a Lagunitas Censored Ale.
Other than that, I plan on sticking with it, except with (a lil more) wine. Thanks to the cookbooks and new recipes I’ve learned from the group, I have lots of tasty comfort foods and new things to eat. I am pretty sure that my lifelong addiction to cheese may be defeated. I’ll always LOVE it,but now instead of putting on or in almost everything I ate, I’ll treat it as a treat and just eat the really good stuff every now and then.

I totally hear you on only eating the good stuff. If I eat a dessert it’s gonna be from a fancy pastry chef and it better be f’ing amazing.
